Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu has announced the completion of upgrades to the digital platform connecting sports institutions through a unified national network, with the system expected to become operational within two weeks.

Speaking at a press conference at the President’s Office, Minister Rafiu said strengthening communication between sports associations, clubs and the Commissioner of Sports remains central to improving governance within the sector. He noted that the upgraded platform will provide a centralised digital interface for submitting requests, regulatory documents and administrative transactions.

The Minister said the existing software has been migrated to a new platform designed to enhance efficiency, transparency and data management. Once launched, the system will facilitate player registration and release processes, submission of regulations and streamlined information sharing between institutions.

Minister Rafiu said the development aligns with the Government’s Maldives 2.0 digital transformation agenda and represents a significant step toward modernising sports administration in the country.
