President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the Government aims to commence land handover under the Giraavaru Falhu project in June.

In a post shared on his official X account, the President provided an update on the project, noting that land reclamation works are progressing steadily.

He stated that reclamation is expected to be completed by April, after which survey works will be carried out ahead of the land handover scheduled for June.

Land plots at Giraavaru Falhu were allocated by previous administration without a comprehensive land use plan, resulting in insufficient space to accommodate essential services and infrastructure.

To address this, the current Government has decided to reclaim an additional 113 hectares under the project to ensure adequate space for infrastructure and public services.
