Aminath Shirna has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Protection Agency (NSPA)

Prior to this appointment, Shirna served as State Minister at the Ministry of Health, Family and Welfare. She was appointed to that role on 13 December 2023. Following her new appointment, the Ministry extended its congratulations and wished her success in her new position.

Shirna takes over as CEO of NSPA following the appointment of her predecessor, Heena Waleed, as Minister of Arts, Culture and Heritage.

The NSPA operates under the Ministry of Health, Family and Welfare and is responsible for overseeing social protection programmes, including healthcare-related assistance and welfare services.
