The Foundation of Eydhafushi Youth Linkage (FEYLI) has established a vocational training lab and a digital studio at Baa Atoll Education Centre under a grant awarded through Bank of Maldives’s Bank Fund programme.

The new facilities were developed to support practical learning and skills development among students. The digital studio is equipped with cameras and a full production setup, with training programmes planned in photography, videography and digital content creation.

As part of the project, the school’s vocational training lab was also upgraded. This includes the addition of a carpentry section with hand tools, battery-powered equipment and safety gear, as well as a tailoring section equipped with sewing machines and materials for garment-making.

Training sessions are expected to be conducted for students using the upgraded facilities.

The Bank Fund is an annual grant initiative by BML that provides financial assistance to registered non-governmental organisations for community-based projects across the Maldives. Each selected organisation receives funding of up to MVR 200,000 to implement their projects.
