President congratulates PM Modi on becoming India's longest-serving elected Prime Minister

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended congratulations to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming India's longest-serving elected Prime Minister by consecutive days in office.

In a post shared on his official X account, President Dr Muizzu conveyed warm congratulations to Prime Minister Modi and reaffirmed the Maldives' commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation with India, guided by mutual respect, sovereign equality and shared interests.

Prime Minister Modi first took the oath of office on 26 May 2014. Having served continuously for 4,399 days, he has become the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India's history in terms of uninterrupted tenure.
