The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development has eased the flat application process under the Government's Housing for All policy by allowing guardians registered with the National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) to apply on behalf of persons with disabilities without submitting additional documents to prove guardianship.
Applications under the special category for persons with disabilities can now be submitted by guardians listed in the NSPA registry. The revised arrangement removes the requirement to provide separate documentation verifying the guardian's status.
The measure also applies to individuals who are unable to complete the application process independently, as well as applicants below the age of 18. In such cases, applications may be submitted by their NSPA-registered guardians.
The Ministry stated that the change is intended to simplify the application process and improve accessibility for eligible applicants and their families.
Applications for flats under the Housing for All policy will remain open until 15 June.
