The deadline for applications under the Government's housing schemes for land plots and flats will expire tomorrow night, with authorities confirming that no further extensions will be granted.

The application period for the schemes was originally scheduled to end last month. However, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development later extended the deadline to 11:59 p.m. on June 15, following numerous complaints from applicants who faced difficulties completing the required documentation and submitting their applications on time.

The ministry has now reiterated that the extended deadline will expire tomorrow and that there are no plans to extend the application period again.

The housing schemes were introduced under the government's "Housing for All" policy, first announced on November 16 last year. The initiative outlines the framework and eligibility criteria for the allocation of land plots and housing units. Under the programme, the Government plans to allocate 15,000 land plots, including in the Greater Malé Region and Rasmalé, as well as 7,900 flats across the Greater Malé area.

Applicants seeking to benefit from the schemes have until 11:59 p.m. tomorrow to submit their applications.
