Haa Dhaalu Finey has received its first police station following the completion of a new police headquarters developed under a project awarded to MTCC.

The police headquarters was officially inaugurated in a ceremony attended by Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed, MTCC Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Jamsheed, MTCC Chief Operating Officer Sinan Ali and Finey Council President AbdulLatheef Ali. Members of the Finey Council and senior Government officials also took part in the event.

The project, valued at MVR 2.20 million, included concrete works, roofing, ceiling installation, electrical wiring, plastering, sanitary works, installation of doors and windows, wall construction, as well as sheet and iron works.

Finey, an agricultural island with a population of 623, previously did not have a police station. Police said the establishment of the new facility is expected to strengthen law enforcement services and bring social benefits to the community.

MTCC, which was established in 1980, has undertaken infrastructure development projects across the Maldives for more than four decades. The company has played a significant role in the development of public infrastructure and community facilities throughout the country.
