Construction of the Gan Masjid Complex at Gan International Airport in Addu City has officially commenced following a groundbreaking ceremony held for the project.

The ceremony was attended by Minister of Islamic Affairs and Endowments Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and Mohamed Solih, recipient of the Order of the Dignified Rule of Muleege Dynasty (O.D.R.M.D).

The mosque complex is being developed through the sponsorship of Mohamed Solih, who also serves as Chairman of Damas Company Pvt Ltd.

The two-storey mosque will have the capacity to accommodate 800 worshippers. The complex will also feature a multipurpose hall and a library, providing additional facilities for the community.
