The National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) is set to launch a call centre service in Addu City this July, improving access to its services for residents in the region.
NSPA Chief Executive Officer Aminath Shirna announced on social media that the new call centre will make it easier for people in Addu City to access the agency’s services. The centre will also offer extended operating hours, providing greater convenience for citizens seeking assistance and information.
The agency stated that applications for several NSPA services can now be submitted through the oneGov platform. These services include financial assistance for single mothers and fathers living in poverty, financial support for food purchases, thalassemia allowance, assistance for therapeutic treatments required by individuals living in poverty, and financial assistance for children being cared for by guardians in the absence of a living parent.
Applications for these support programmes are now available online through oneGov.
For further information about NSPA services, members of the public can contact the agency’s hotline on 1402. The hotline will provide assistance and information regarding medical welfare, medical assistance schemes, financial support for persons with disabilities, help with completing application forms, and other services offered by the NSPA.
