Minister of Climate Change, Environment, and Energy Ali Shareef has stressed the importance of financial support in achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The Minister made the remarks while addressing the ninth session of the Committee on Environment and Development of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), currently underway in Bangkok.

Speaking under the theme, "Recommitting to the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda: Regaining Peace, Solidarity, Sustainability and Prosperity," Minister Shareef highlighted the importance of international cooperation in advancing global peace, solidarity, sustainable development, and prosperity.
