Over 100 officers graduate from Police Basic Training Course

A total of 140 police officers have graduated from the 42nd Basic Training Course conducted by the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement in Addu City.
The four-month training programme began on 15 February, with 158 recruits enrolling. Of those, 104 male and 36 female officers completed the course.
The graduation ceremony was officiated by Minister of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology Ali Ihusaan. Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed, senior police officers and family members of the graduates also attended the event.
Awards were presented to officers who demonstrated outstanding performance throughout the programme. Constable Ibrahim Irfaah received the Commissioner's Excellence Award after being named the Best All-Round Student. Constable Raakin Ahmed was recognised as the Best Student in Indoor Subjects, while Constable Hussain Rifshan Ali received the award for Best Student in Outdoor Subjects.
The Ainella Squad was named the Best Squad of the course and was presented with the squad shield by the Commissioner of Police.
The Basic Training Course provides newly recruited officers with legal, operational and professional training, preparing them for police service across the Maldives.
