The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development has launched dedicated Viber communities to provide the public with the latest information on the Government's housing programmes and the Binveriya Scheme.

The ministry has created four Viber communities to provide the public with information related to Government housing projects.

The communities have been established for different housing programmes. Three are dedicated to beneficiaries of the Binveriya Scheme, while one has been created to share updates on the Government's overall housing programme.

The four Viber communities are:

The Housing for All scheme, the first housing initiative introduced under the Government's housing policy, was launched on 16 November last year.

The scheme includes plans to allocate 15,000 land plots in the Greater Malé Region and Rasmalé, along with 7,900 flats in the Malé area.

Construction of the flats is currently underway, while land reclamation works are ongoing to facilitate the allocation of plots under the scheme.
