A fire at a residence in the Galolhu district caused significant property damage on Thursday morning, with one room left uninhabitable.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said the fire at Galolhu Mithuru has been fully contained.

The authority said one room of the house sustained extensive damage, rendering it unusable. Four people were residing in the property at the time of the incident.

The NDMA is continuing its response to the incident and is providing assistance to those affected. The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.
