Police to strengthen national security through partnership with councils: CP

Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed has said the Maldives Police Service will work closely with local councils and communities to strengthen safety and security across the Maldives.

The Commissioner made the remarks during a meeting with Kaashidhoo Constituency Member of Parliament Muntazim Ibrahim, President of Kaashidhoo Council Sabah Mohamed, and members of the council.

Maldives Police Service said Commissioner Ahmed emphasised that working in partnership with local councils and communities has always been a key priority in ensuring public safety and delivering police services closer to the people.

The meeting, held at the Shaheed Hussain Adam Building, also focused on strengthening cooperation between the Maldives Police Service and the Kaashidhoo Council to enhance safety and security on the island, while promoting social wellbeing.

Both parties discussed the importance of working together to identify community concerns and provide timely and effective solutions to issues faced by residents. They also explored ways to further strengthen police services on the island and enhance cooperation between the Police Service and the council.

The President and members of the Kashidhoo Council commended the work carried out by police officers serving on the island and expressed appreciation for the services and assistance provided to the community by the Maldives Police Service.
