Bank of Maldives (BML) has introduced changes to its mobile app and Internet Banking platform, allowing customers to submit banking service requests through Aaya, the bank's artificial intelligence (AI) digital assistant.
Aaya is an AI-powered chatbot that provides real-time responses to customer enquiries. Customers can use the digital assistant to resolve queries, submit banking service requests, and connect with a member of the bank's staff if further assistance is required.
The update also removes the option to submit banking service requests through the messaging feature on the BML Mobile Banking App and Internet Banking, with such requests now handled by the AI assistant.
BML said the update is part of ongoing improvements to its digital banking services and is intended to make it easier for customers to access banking services online.
