Maldivian President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has sent messages of congratulations to Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz marking Cuba's Revolution Day.

The messages conveyed warm wishes from the Maldivian Government and people, expressing hopes for the Cuban leaders' health and their nation's continued development.

President Dr Muizzu extended these felicitations on Wednesday as Cuba celebrated its annual Revolution Day, which falls on January 1.

The two nations have maintained diplomatic ties since January 29, 1977, when formal relations were established between the Maldives and Cuba.
