Foreign Minister arrives in UAE following official visit to India

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Abdulla Khaleel has arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following his official visit to India.

The visit comes at the invitation of UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Dr Khaleel is accompanied by Ambassador-at-Large Abdulla Hameed and Joint Secretary Mariyam Reesha.

During his visit, Dr Khaleel is scheduled to meet with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss ways to further strengthen the long-standing ties between the Maldives and the UAE.

Their discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation across various sectors and identifying new opportunities for collaboration.

The Foreign Ministry also stated that Dr Khaleel will engage with senior UAE government officials to explore opportunities for strengthening partnerships and expanding collaboration across key sectors.

Prior to arriving in the UAE, Dr Khaleel concluded an official visit to India, where he met with Minister of External Affairs of India, S Jaishankar and signed the 'High Impact Community Development Projects' Agreement.
