President Dr Mohamed Muizzu emphasised the Government's commitment to improving education and infrastructure in Vaadhoo during a recent visit to the island.

Speaking at a community meeting held at Vaadhoo Jamaluddin School, he addressed concerns raised by residents regarding challenges in the education sector and infrastructure development.

The President acknowledged the significance of the school as a vital institution for the island. He reiterated the Government's focus on enhancing the education system, noting that a key issue raised by residents was the absence of a Dhivehi teacher at the school, which has impacted the delivery of this important subject. He underscored that this issue would be addressed, as it is crucial for the continuity of education on the island.

In addition to education, infrastructure improvements were also highlighted as a priority. The President assured residents that the construction of high-quality major roads in Vaadhoo would be included in the national budget as a top priority. The initiative aims to enhance accessibility and support the island's development.

The President also engaged with the Vaadhoo Island Council and residents, assuring them that the concerns shared, particularly regarding school facilities and healthcare services, would be addressed.
