President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated that budget for 2025 will prioritise the implementation of as many projects as possible while ensuring that unfinished initiatives are carried forward into the following year.

The President made these remarks during his visit to Gaafu Dhaalu Rathafandhoo, part of his ongoing Huvadhu Atoll tour. Addressing the residents, he assured them that projects delayed or previously overlooked will be prioritised and implemented in 2025 and 2026.

President Dr Muizzu emphasised that the years 2025, 2026, and, to some extent, 2027 will focus on fulfilling the promises made during his presidential campaign and those outlined in his manifesto.

While discussing development plans specific to Rathafandhoo, the President Dr Muizzu announced projects including the construction of a volleyball court, an indoor gym, and a modern youth centre.

Additionally, the President pledged to upgrade the island’s health centre and construct a multipurpose hall for the local school.
