Dhiraagu has launched high-speed fibre broadband services across all inhabited islands in the Maldives, marking a significant milestone in the nation's telecommunications history.

At a press conference, Dhiraagu's Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Ismail Rasheed highlighted that this achievement places the Maldives among a select few nations globally to achieve 100 percent fibre broadband coverage.

Speaking at the press conference, he explained that the expansion marked a transformative moment for digital accessibility in the Maldives, as it would bring high-speed connectivity to communities from the northernmost to southernmost atolls.

The initiative is expected to accelerate both social and economic development throughout the archipelago. Dhiraagu emphasised that broadband infrastructure plays a crucial role in national development plans worldwide, serving as a cornerstone for digital transformation.
