A 36-year-old Maldivian man, identified as Safwan Ali from Lucky House, Th. Thimarafushi, has been arrested for stealing a trimmer and five boxes of pens.

Safwan is a known repeat offender with a staggering record of 122 prior arrests for various crimes.

In 2021, Safwan was arrested for the theft of smoked fish, followed by another arrest in 2024 for stealing a bag from Rasfannu Beach.

Following his latest arrest, Safwan was presented before the Criminal Court, where the judge remanded him in custody for five days. The court noted his extensive criminal history in its arrest warrant report.
