President tours Tartu City, Estonia

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, visited Tartu City, Estonia’s second-largest urban centre,. 

The President was greeted by the Mayor of the City, Urmas Klaas. The two leaders took a tour of the iconic Town Hall Square, where the Mayor shared insights into its historical significance. To commemorate the occasion, President Dr Muizzu signed the Visitors’ Book, marking his visit to the city.

Tartu Town Hall Square is known as a centre for trade and settlement, and its cultural importance within Estonia was emphasised during the visit. The city is renowned not only for its history but also as a hub for innovation and academia.

As part of his visit, President Dr Muizzu is set to visit several key institutions, including the University of Tartu, the Estonian Biobank, and the Estonian National Museum (ERM). These visits are designed to promote cooperation in education, research, and technological innovation, aligning with the interests of both nations.
