The Ministry of Health has published the 10th volume of the Maldives Health Research Bulletin.
It is an annual publication designed to consolidate and share findings from health research conducted in the Maldives.
The bulletin, launched by Minister of Health, Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim at a ceremony held earlier today at the ministry headquarters, serves as a key resource for health professionals, researchers, students, and the general public to access comprehensive health research information.
This year’s bulletin is structured to achieve three main objectives. It provides a centralised platform for students, researchers, and stakeholders to access health research relevant to the Maldives. It also offers technical guidance by sharing details of existing studies and identifying priority areas for health research. Additionally, it ensures that research activities align with national health priorities, Maldivian regulations, and globally recognised standards.
The latest edition includes summaries of seven completed studies, covering topics such as maternal and child health, communicable diseases, and mental health.
The publication also features a catalogue of newly approved and ongoing research projects. Furthermore, it outlines the roles of the National Health Research Council and highlights key health research priorities set for 2022-2025.
