Romania and Kazakhstan have entered the top 10 countries sending tourists to the Maldives, with 1,839 and 1,863 visitors respectively, pushing Spain and Switzerland off the list. The Maldives has seen an overall increase in tourist arrivals, reaching 90,659 visitors so far this year, an 8 per cent rise compared to 2024. Russia remains the largest source market, followed by Italy, while China has fallen to fourth place in tourist arrivals.
