Authorities have launched an investigation into the alleged physical assault of a three-year-child by a Nepalese domestic worker.
In a statement shared with the media, police confirmed that the incident was reported on January 19, involving a Nepalese domestic worker who resided in the same house as the child.
Police confirmed that no arrests have been made so far, but they are actively pursuing all leads in the case.
In a separate incident reported on January 16, another case of child abuse has come to light in the Malé area. A teacher allegedly physically assaulted a child with special needs who was attending a primary-grade class at a local school.
Both cases have raised questions about the safety and well-being of vulnerable children in the community, stressing the importance of vigilance and accountability in such situations.
