An agreement between the Raa Atoll Vaadhoo Island Council and the Bank of Maldives has been formalised to install an ATM on Vaadhoo Island, aligning with the Government's goal to provide ATM services to all Maldivian islands by year-end. The agreement was signed during President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's visit to the island as part of his tour of North Maalhosmadulu. The Bank of Maldives, which launched its nationwide ATM initiative in November 2024, currently operates 150 ATMs across 90 islands and plans to expand to 17 more islands by March.
