The Maldives Destination Roadshow in Thailand, organised by local island councils to promote island tourism in the Maldives, concluded successfully on Saturday.

The event, held at Central World, one of Bangkok’s most popular shopping malls, ran from Wednesday to Saturday. A total of 60 delegations, including guesthouse councils and island tourism service providers, participated in the roadshow. Fuad Thaufeeq, the Ambassador of Maldives to Thailand, also attended and engaged in discussions with council members.

This was the first international event dedicated to promoting island tourism with active participation from local councils. The initiative, led by MI Advertising, aimed to highlight the unique appeal of the Maldives to the Thai market.

Coinciding with the Chinese New Year celebrations, several island councils participated in the road show. Currently, 110 guesthouses are operating across 19 islands in the Maldives.
