First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed has officially inaugurated a specialised Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Clinic at the Dhiggaru Health Centre in Meemu atoll today.

During her tour of the newly opened facility, the First Lady inspected the premises and engaged with healthcare staff to understand the range of services provided at the clinic.

Following the tour, she signed the visitors' book at the Dhiggaru Health Centre and received a commemorative gift from representatives of both the Health Centre and Dhiggaru Island Council.

The ceremony, which coincides with World Diabetes Day observed internationally on 14 November, underscores the Government's commitment to addressing chronic health conditions in the region.

The inauguration is part of the First Lady's broader official visit to Dhiggaru, where she will later preside over a ceremony marking World Diabetes Day.
