69 MNU students successfully complete ‘Raasthaa’ leadership programme

The 'Raasthaa' leadership programme for students of the National University, conducted in collaboration with the Maldives Police Service, has successfully concluded.
Through this initiative, participants built resilience, discipline, and teamwork, while fostering leadership, patriotism, and cooperation.
The valedictory ceremony, held yesterday at the MNU Auditorium, was presided over by Deputy Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen. The event was attended by the Vice-Chancellor of the National University, Dr Aishath Shehenaz Adam, alongside senior university officials, officers of the Maldives Police Service, programme participants, and teachers.
Spanning from February 13 - 16, the 'Raasthaa' programme took place in Dh. Vaanee, engaging a total of 69 students from various courses within the university. Throughout the programme, participants undertook a diverse range of activities, including survival training, team building, self-defence, leadership development, volunteerism, physical fitness, patriotism, and religious teachings.
Speaking at the valedictory function, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen expressed his hopes that the 'Raasthaa' programme had instilled a sense of respect, responsibility, leadership, and teamwork in its participants. He emphasised that the lessons learned would be valuable in real-world applications and that the programme’s focus on patriotism, leadership, and core values would contribute to both academic and personal development, ultimately shaping a brighter future for all involved.
To mark the occasion, certificates were awarded to participants, teachers, and individuals who contributed to the success of the programme.
The 'Raasthaa' programme was a collaborative effort between Public Trust and Confidence Management, the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement, and the National University, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation in shaping responsible and capable individuals.
