Residents of Dhaalu Meedhoo now have access to improved healthcare and banking services with the inauguration of two new facilities on the island, marking a significant step in enhancing essential services for the local community.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu officially inaugurated the newly extended Meedhoo Health Centre this evening, introducing a public health unit, offices, a garage, laundry facilities, medical and non-medical storage areas, and a conference hall. These additions aim to address longstanding administrative challenges and improve healthcare services for the island’s residents.

Following the inauguration, the President, accompanied by First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed, toured the upgraded facility to assess the improvements that are expected to enhance healthcare delivery on the island.

Additionally, Meedhoo now has access to its first-ever ATM service by the Bank of Maldives (BML), which was also inaugurated by President Dr Muizzu. The self-service ATM provides residents with convenient access to a range of BML banking services.
