The cruise ship MS Zuiderdam arrived near Malé City on March 9, carrying 1,274 tourists and 751 crew members, with Maldives Immigration completing clearance procedures. This marks the second cruise ship to visit the Maldives in 2025, following an earlier arrival in January. In response to the growing cruise tourism sector, the Government has announced plans to develop cruise jetties in three regions to enhance port infrastructure.
