The Road Development Corporation (RDC) has been assigned to construct a Dhamana Veshi in Kulhudhuffushi City, the first outside Malé, at a cost of MVR 23.1 million, to be completed in 1.5 years. The two-storey facility will provide essential health services such as vaccinations, child development monitoring, and tobacco cessation, along with community health awareness programmes. State Minister Ismail Shareef emphasised that expanding healthcare infrastructure in the islands will enhance the accessibility and quality of medical services beyond the capital.
