President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has highlighted public safety and healthcare initiatives as key successes during the Government's first-year anniversary ceremony.

The Administration's healthcare reforms have targeted systemic inefficiencies in the Aasandha system, implementing bulk medicine procurement strategies to control costs whilst maintaining quality. These measures run parallel to other public health initiatives, including a campaign aimed at creating a tobacco-free generation.

Crime prevention efforts have shown measurable success, with the Administration reporting a 61 per cent increase in drug seizures and a 33 per cent reduction in dangerous road incidents, suggesting improved public safety measures are taking effect.

The Government has also addressed workforce regulations, with more than 5,000 cases of unauthorised employment of immigrants resolved through repatriation—a figure exceeding the previous three years' combined efforts. This comes as part of broader economic reforms, including plans to address the current 1.5 per cent bank conversion rate of tourism revenue.

President Dr Muizzu emphasised these achievements whilst reaffirming his Administration's commitment to citizen-centred governance.
