Malé City Group of Hospitals (MCGH) CEO Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem has stated that doctors play the most vital role in maintaining a resilient and effective healthcare system.
He made the remarks in a message shared on social media to mark National Doctors’ Day.
In his message, Haleem extended greetings and appreciation to Maldivian doctors, acknowledging their continued service and dedication. He highlighted that doctors remain at the forefront of the healthcare system, carrying out one of its most critical responsibilities.
Haleem noted that despite the daily challenges and pressures faced in their work, doctors continue to provide care to patients with unwavering commitment. He described their dedication as a source of national pride, reflecting the important role they play in safeguarding lives.
He further emphasised that the work carried out by doctors is not merely a profession, but a noble and humane service centred on protecting human life and dignity.
He also expressed appreciation for the contributions of doctors in strengthening and expanding healthcare services provided by the Malé City Group of Hospitals.
Haleem conveyed confidence that the Government will continue to provide the necessary support to further enhance healthcare services and enable doctors to carry out their work more effectively.
National Doctors Day is observed annually in the Maldives on 18 April.
