Speaking at the ceremony held to mark the first year of his presidency, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu reaffirmed his commitment to building a Government that prioritises transparency and accountability.

The President highlighted the 'Rayyithunge Adu' portal, which serves as a platform for addressing public inquiries. He noted that, to date, 818 questions have been submitted, with 773 of them already receiving responses.

He added that over the past year, a total of 73 press conferences were conducted and Ministers collectively gave 791 interviews to the media.

The President also emphasised that he is focused on empowering the media and underscored that funds have been allocated specifically for this purpose under the first budget of his Administration.
