In April, the Ministry of Social and Family Development received 2,150 calls, including 1,778 to the Child Helpline, with the majority involving child-related concerns such as abuse, neglect, and family issues. A total of 98 child abuse cases were reported, with neglect and sexual assault being the most prevalent forms. Additional cases involved self-harm, school refusal, home-leaving, and care arrangement concerns, highlighting ongoing challenges in child welfare and family support.
