A new 75-bed Multi-Speciality Surgical Wing has been opened at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), raising the hospital’s total capacity to 510 beds. Inaugurated by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, the facility offers specialised surgical care. This development is part of a broader national initiative to upgrade healthcare services, with major infrastructure projects underway at hospitals in both Greater Malé and other atolls.
