The Ministry of Education has announced the introduction of a new Education Management Information System (EMIS) aimed at improving data-based decision-making across the education sector.  

The initiative, supported by the Maldives Atoll Education Development Project (AEDP) and funded through its multiplier grant, is designed to streamline planning and monitoring processes in the sector.  

The EMIS is expected to strengthen the education system’s ability to analyse data at all levels, providing a robust foundation for informed decision-making and the implementation of targeted improvements.
