The Maldives Zakat House and the Ministry of Social and Family Development have signed a 25-year agreement to establish an Empowerment Hub for people with disabilities. Located on the first floor of Aman Udhares Tower 7, the hub will provide skill development, religious education, and empowerment programs to improve the quality of life and financial independence of individuals with disabilities. The initiative, approved by the Zakat Council in March 2025, was formalised through an agreement signed by officials from both institutions. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs highlighted the hub as a response to the increasing demand for disability-focused services in the Maldives.
