The first International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournament in Malé, the J30 Malé Tournament 2025, has officially begun.

Organised by the Tennis Association of Maldives (TAM), the event will run from August 16 to 30 at the National Tennis Centre in Malé. More than 100 under-18 athletes from 24 countries are competing, including 22 Maldivian players.

Dhiraagu, the main partner of the tournament, said its support reflects the company’s commitment to advancing tennis in the Maldives, providing young players with an international platform, and promoting the country as a sports destination.

Meanwhile, TAM Vice President Ignaz Mansoor expressed satisfaction with the preparations, highlighting that Maldivian junior players had trained under the guidance of an experienced Iranian coach. He added that he was confident the athletes were ready to deliver strong performances.
