The Business Centre Corporation (BCC) commemorated Youth Day with a nationwide initiative aimed at introducing young people to the world of business.

The event, titled Vunaari: Business Camp, was held simultaneously across 12 regions of the Maldives. According to BCC, the programme supports the Government’s efforts to foster a creative economy. The camp targeted youth between the ages of 16 and 25.

This year’s edition was hosted on beaches, allowing participants to enjoy the natural environment while gaining practical exposure to business concepts through interactive activities.

BCC continues to carry out initiatives to boost youth participation in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Currently, young people account for around 20 per cent of the Maldives’ business sector.
