Part of Boduthakurufaanu Magu and the adjoining lagoon area has been closed to traffic for road development works.

The Malé City Council said the closure affects the area around the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) and will remain in place from 18 August to 13 October. The project aims to improve the quality of the road.

Traffic flow has been altered during this period. One-way traffic from Dhathuruveringe Market has been redirected towards Chaandhanee Magu, while the section near the Presidential Jetty has also been converted to one-way traffic.

The City Council apologised for any inconvenience caused to road users and released a chart outlining the changes.
