A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed entrusting Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) with the development of infrastructure upgrades at the Alifu Alifu Atoll School, in a bid to ease the school’s long-standing space constraints.

The agreement was formalised during a ceremony held in Feridhoo as part of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s ongoing tour of the atoll. On behalf of the Ministry of Education, the MoU was signed by Minister Dr Ismail Shafeeu, while Deputy Managing Director Ibrahim Razaan signed for FDC.

In his address to the community, President Dr Muizzu emphasised that the project would not only resolve the current space shortage but also equip the school with modern facilities. Plans include the construction of multipurpose hall, classrooms, science and computer laboratories, staff rooms, a library, and SEN facilities, all designed to meet the school’s academic and extracurricular needs.
