President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has arrived in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, on 30 August to begin an official visit at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The President was received at Beijing Capital International Airport by China’s Minister of Emergency Management, Wang Xiangxi, the Ambassador of the Maldives to China, Dr Fazeel Najeeb, and the Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives, Kong Xianhua.

On arrival, President Dr Muizzu was accorded an Honour Guard ceremony, followed by a cultural performance arranged in recognition of his visit.
