President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has congratulated the Maldives National University (MNU) on its 52nd anniversary, extending felicitations to its management, staff, and students.

In a message on his official X account, the President expressed hope that MNU will continue to develop into a leading center of learning and innovation, while commending its decades of service to national progress.

Founded on 1 September 1973, MNU is the country’s oldest and largest higher education institution. It has since grown from the Maldives Institute of Technical Education to university status in 2011, offering programs in medicine, law, education, management, engineering, and more.
