Three new members have been appointed to the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
At a special ceremony held at the President’s Office on Sunday, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu presented official letters of appointment to Dr Hussain Faaiz, Mohamed Nasih, and Dr Dheeba Moosa.
Prior to their appointment, the three took their oath of office before Supreme Court Justice Uz Ali Rasheed Hussain.
The CSC is composed of five members, each serving a five-year term. The terms of three members expired on 3 September 2025.
Under the Constitution, when the term of a member of an independent institution ends, the President must propose new candidates to Parliament, which reviews and votes on the nominations before the President confirms the appointments.
