President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has nominated Uz Mohamed Mujuthaz as President of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and Mohamed Nasih as Vice President.

The nominations were submitted to Parliament during an extraordinary sitting held on Monday.

Mujuthaz, who currently serves as Vice President of the CSC, was appointed to the Commission in April this year.

Nasih, meanwhile, previously served as President of the Commission. His reappointment to the CSC was approved by Parliament on 7 August 2025 after his earlier term expired.

Parliament has referred both nominations to its Independent Institutions Committee for review.
