The President’s Office has announced that special medals, mementos, and prizes for individuals who have memorised the Noble Quran will be presented on the 27th night of Ramadan.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Office said the decision was made in line with the National Centre for the Holy Quran’s official awarding of certificates to Hafiz, which takes place at a ceremony organised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs on the same night. The Office stated that presenting the President’s awards at this event is regarded as the most fitting and appropriate arrangement.

Last year, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu conferred the honours on the Day Maldives embraced Islam, with 28 recipients receiving the awards.
