Vaavu has become the 12th atoll to introduce Bank of Maldives ATM services under the Mulhi Raajje ah ATM initiative.

Despite criticism from the opposition, the Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the programme, stating that it enhances public convenience and alleviates financial challenges.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has repeatedly underscored the difficulties faced by residents of islands without ATM facilities and pledged to ensure access to banking services for all citizens.
